RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
- Before co-founding LP, Bruno Peixoto was an attorney at the Antitrust Department of the Ministry of Justice (SDE) where he held positions both in the Merger Control Division and the Anticompetitive Practices Division. He prosecuted international cartels, conducted review of mergers and acquisitions in several industries and elaborated opinions on exclusionary practices and vertical restraints.
- Mr. Peixoto has extensive experience in elaborating and filing M&A notifications before Brazilian Antitrust Authorities (CADE, SDE, and SEAE), representing leading companies in anticompetitive practices investigations and administrative procedures, and implementing antitrust compliance programs.
- Mr. Peixoto has formulated and conducted the first private antitrust actions against cartels and vertical restraints in Brazil. He has also recently elaborated and conducted the first class action against a collusive scheme in Brazilian legal history.
